Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Liqod is committed to making its bookkeeping and financial reporting platform usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes our conformance target, the measures we take, known limitations, and how to request assistance or report a barrier.
1. Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as the recognised benchmark for digital accessibility and the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as the target for both our marketing website and the authenticated application.
Liqod is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the platform meets the standard, and some areas do not yet fully conform. Those areas are listed in Section 4.
2. Measures we take
- Accessibility is considered during design and development rather than treated as a retrofit.
- Semantic HTML and accessible component patterns are used for navigation, forms, tables, dialogs and menus so that structure is conveyed to assistive technology.
- Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Colour contrast is chosen to remain legible in dense financial tables, and colour is not used as the only means of conveying meaning — status is also given in text.
- Form fields carry programmatic labels, and validation errors are presented in text next to the field concerned.
- Images and icon-only buttons are given text alternatives or accessible names.
- Layouts are responsive and remain usable when zoomed or viewed on small screens, and a compact-density option is available for users who prefer a tighter reading view.
3. Compatibility
The Service is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox) on desktop and mobile, used together with the operating system’s assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnification and browser zoom. It may not perform reliably on browsers older than three years or on unsupported assistive-technology combinations.
4. Known limitations
We are transparent about where we fall short. We are actively working on the following, and welcome reports of issues not listed here:
- Some dropdown and picker controls do not yet support full arrow-key navigation and are being upgraded.
- Very wide financial reports and matrix views require horizontal scrolling, which can be difficult to navigate with magnification.
- Uploaded statement documents, cheque images and receipt images come from third parties and may be scanned images without a text layer; we cannot guarantee the accessibility of customer-supplied documents. Extracted transaction data is presented as accessible text in the application.
- Generated PDF exports may not yet be fully tagged for screen-reader navigation. Excel exports of the same data are available as an accessible alternative.
- Some charts convey trends visually; the underlying figures are always available in the accompanying tables and exports.
5. Assessment approach
We evaluate accessibility through internal review during development, keyboard-only and screen-reader spot checks of core workflows, and automated tooling. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party audit or published a VPAT; independent evaluation is on our roadmap. Findings are prioritised by the severity of the barrier and how central the affected workflow is.
6. Requesting assistance or an alternative format
If any part of Liqod prevents you from completing a task, we will help you complete it and provide the information in an alternative accessible format at no charge. This includes assistance with uploading statements, reviewing transactions, and obtaining reports in an accessible format.
Email accessibility@liqod.com with a description of the barrier, the page or feature involved, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and to agree a resolution or workaround with you.
7. Feedback and escalation
Accessibility feedback is treated as a product defect, not a suggestion. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to support@liqod.com and ask for a review. Your feedback directly informs the limitations list in Section 4 and our remediation priorities.
8. Changes to this statement
This statement is reviewed as the platform changes and as known limitations are resolved. Updates are published here with a revised “Last updated” date.
